Keep it real.

Don’t blow smoke.

Call an ace of spades an ace of spades.

Hold everyone’s feet to the fire, doesn’t matter if they have pretty feet or pretty ugly feet.

Continuing with the theme of the previous rule...Understand that everyone has different feet.

Know when to stand firm and know when to bend.

Take into consideration business and people because you can’t have one without the other.

Talk about it but don’t beat a dead horse… then take action.

Everyone is human...treat them as such.

Don’t surprise people, be predictable and fair.

And FYI - "Fair" doesn’t always mean the same thing for everyone… Use your head!

Don’t be all fluff or all fire! Know when to use both.

Know the difference between the "law" and the "spirit of the law".

Listen before speaking.

Try to understand all sides before you decide.

And, last but not least...

Don’t always be right, but always do the right thing.
